Q1:Will I turn orange?
A: When used as recommended, at Dolledupbydalxo we use NUDA sunless tanning products and they are formulated to offer a natural-looking bronzed complexion.
Q2: Are Spray Tan products safe for pregnant women?
A: DHA (dihydroxyacetone) acts only on the top layer of the skin. NUDA’s formulas are non-toxic and there is no evidence that demonstrates the harmfulness of DHA. However, each pregnancy is different, and we recommend consulting your doctor if you have any questions prior to use.
Q3: What is DHA?
A: DHA (dihydroxyacetone) is the active ingredient in all sunless tanning products. It is a sugar molecule which is naturally derived from the beets or the sugar cane and the fermentation of glycerine. This ingredient reacts to the amino acids on the surface of the skin to simulate a tan. The intensity of the final tan will depend on the strength of DHA contained within the product.
Q4: Do Spray Tans protect the skin from UV Rays?
A: No, our products do not contain any UV-protective agents. Our solutions do not protect skin from being sunburned and your skin can still tan. You should always recommend your clients to apply sunscreen prior to exposing their skin to the sun.
Q5: How long will my spray tan results last?
A: On average, spray tans result last up to 10 days. However, the longevity depends on several factors, which include lifestyle habits, daily activities, and skin type and aftercare products used. Sweating excessively while sleeping or spending time in jacuzzis or saunas, taking long baths or showers on a daily basis, participating in activities that may cause excessive sweating (ex: spinning), exfoliation, hair removal, or even a lack of skin hydration may cause the product to fade away faster.
Q6: Is it safe for sensitive skin?
A: Yes, spray tans are generally safe. If you have sensitivities, we can customize the solution for you.
Q7: How long does it take for the tan to develop?/Can I shower after my tan?
A: Yes, your first rinse is usually after 8–12 hours (or as advised for your specific solution).
Q8: Are there any risks to spray tanning?
A: While spray tanning is generally a safe way to achieve a natural-looking glow, some individuals may experience allergic reactions to DHA. If you suspect your client could be sensitive, it’s best to perform a patch test on the stomach area before a full application. The skin in this area tends to show reactions quickly, making it an ideal spot to determine if the product is suitable.
Q9: Can spray tan solutions stain clothing or sheets/clothing?A: Spray tans typically dry quickly and to be transfer resistant, you should recommend your clients to wear loose fitting, dark clothing after the application as. If your clients are to sleep with their tan, they should wear full-length clothing. The solution is water-soluble and can easily be removed from most fabrics.he solution is water-soluble and can easily be removed from most fabrics.
Q10: What's the difference between regular spray tan solutions and express solutions?
A: Regular tanning solutions typically take 8 to 12 hours to fully develop before rinsing. They’re ideal for clients who want to see their tan results right after their first shower.
Rapid tanning solutions are perfect for clients who need a quick turnaround. The depth of the tan depends on how long the solution is left on before showering. The recommended development time is 1 to 5 hours:
-
1–2 hours for a light tan
-
3–4 hours for a medium tan
-
4–5 hours for a dark tan
The color will continue to deepen and fully develop within 24 hours after showering.

A: Your clients should moisturize and wash their skin daily with a lotion and body wash that are made with safe ingredients for their tan.
